Best for

  • Half an acre up to about 5 acres

Not the right machine for

  • Slopes. A zero-turn steers and brakes through the same two wheels, so it slides on inclines and wet grass
  • Long dry paddock grass, thistle or blackberry. This is a mower, not a slasher
  • Rocky or stumpy ground. Side discharge throws whatever it hits

How it works

Pick your machine and days

Choose the Z225 or the Sabre, then pick your dates. The calendar only shows what is genuinely free.

Brad confirms by phone

Brad rings to confirm the day and the drop off. Nothing is booked or charged until he does. There is a $100 refundable bond, and it comes back after the machine is checked in.

We deliver, you mow

Free inside 10km of Mallala, $100 inc GST flat out to 35km by road. Or collect from Mallala.

Distances are measured by road from Mallala, which is what you will see if you check it on a map.

Anywhere within 10km of Mallala. That is a radius, not a town list: Mallala township and immediately surrounding properties. Collection from Mallala is free too.

A flat rate out to 35km by road. One price, no matter where in that zone you are.

Questions people ask

How long is a 24 hour hire?

A full 24 hours from your start time, evening included. A 5 day hire is 120 hours. It is never a half day with the clock running.

What does delivery cost?

Free within 10 km of Mallala by road. From there out to 35 km by road it is a flat $100 inc GST, which covers Dublin, Two Wells, Lower Light, Long Plains, Wasleys, Roseworthy, Virginia, Hamley Bridge and Gawler. Right on the line, ring with the address and we check it properly.

Do I need a trailer?

No. Brad delivers on a ute and trailer and collects the machine when you are done. If you would rather collect from Mallala yourself you need a trailer rated for the weight and your own tie down straps.

Is there a bond?

Yes, a $100 refundable bond. It comes back once the machine is home and has been checked in. It is a deposit, not a cap on what you owe if something goes wrong.

Can I cancel?

Free more than 24 hours before your start time. Inside 24 hours we keep $100. The full wording is in the hire terms.

What do I need on the day?

A current Australian driver licence, which we sight and write on the docket, and anyone operating the machine has to be 18 or over. We show you the controls at handover.

What are the mowers not suited for?

Slopes, long dry paddock grass, thistle, blackberry, and rocky or stumpy ground. These are mowers, not slashers. Being straight about that is what keeps a machine coming back in one piece.

Do you hire anything else?

Yes. Yellow Bianco wheelbarrows and standard sized shovels. Ask for a price when you book or ring Brad.
