Privacy

When you enquire or book, we collect:

• your name
• your phone number
• your email address
• your address, so we know where the machine is going
• booking details: the machine, the dates, whether we deliver or you collect, and the record that you accepted the hire terms

We use those details to answer your enquiry, arrange the hire, and deliver and collect the machine. The booking details tell us which machine, which days, and where it is going.

We do not sell your details. We do not send marketing unless you have asked us to, and if you have, every message has an easy way to stop it.

Roo Hires holds it. Brad uses it to answer you and to run the hire.

Email about an enquiry or a booking is sent through Resend, our email provider, so the message reaches us and a copy can reach you.

Bookings are stored in Supabase, our database.

We do not pass your details to anyone else unless the law requires it, for example a police report after a theft. The hire terms set out the same thing, including that we never see your card number.

This site uses Google Analytics so we can see which pages are used. Analytics does not receive the name, phone number, email or address you type into a form or a booking.

To opt out, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block cookies for this site in your browser settings.

We keep enquiries that never turn into a hire for 12 months, then we delete them. We keep hire agreements, and the record of the terms you accepted, for 7 years. A hire agreement can be argued about for years afterwards, and the tax office has its own rules about business records.

That is the same retention set out in the hire terms.

Ring 0467 837 928 and ask. We will tell you what we hold about you, and we will correct anything that is wrong.

A hire record we have to keep cannot be deleted. Anything else, ring us and we will take it out.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. They cover how information is collected, used and stored, and your right to ask for access and correction.
